Sexual Domain Name

I'm concerned about the easy access to adult sites.  I am no expert 
about the internet domain nominclature.  Why can't adult web site be 
given a specific domain like .sex or .red?  Seems like this would be 
an easier way for your browser to be able to block certain domains.
